Laptop Memory Lapse

IT ‘n Me
In my college days I was an “IT” guy. What am I saying – I was an IT major with absolutely no interest in the subject what-so-ever. I know… “But it’s such a lucrative, high-paying field”… yeah, and an awful one at that. In my world IT everything should be craigslist and notepad. All the other programs and applications will eventually be obsolete anyways because simplicity is enjoyed by all… and even though IT can make our lives easier, we’ve still not at the point where IT makes our lives easy. I await that day.

Remembrance of a B.S. Degree
Anyways, my “lucrative” degree in IT never landed me a sweet job out of school… I chose to pursue other avenues. What my degree did provide was a sense for the hi-tech basics. So, when my woman came to me in a troubled voice and said “my computer is telling me I don’t have enough memory” – I knew what had to be done. Using a 8 year old laptop doesn’t really help the cause neither. My first advice – get a new laptop… “but I’m graduating in a month. I can’t think about that now.” Of course not.

Memory Revamp
So once again I hop on the trusty Internet seek out some laptop memory. One site that particularly impressed me was www.memorysuppliers.com. They had a great selection, there prices were decent and I’ve been meaning to get a USB drive to back up my info – they had those too.

New Entertainment Center

Two months from now my girlfriend finishes grad school. I think I’m more excited than she is because each day her stress levels amplify and that stress trickles down on me like a dank ‘n damp blanket… and that blanket is getting danker and damper all to quickly.

Shop for Anything
Aside from her studies she shops wilder then Wile E. Coyote, but to get into that would really start to frustrate me. So, I’ll focus on her latest search for something… anything.

Furniture Finds a Way
She insists on finding a new entertainment center. (The TV sits on a vintage record player… and a snazzy one at that). Bear in mind, we plan to move this summer after she graduates. Why haul in a new entertainment center right now and then haul it out in a few months? (She’s stressed and just isn’t thinking clearly – which isn’t typical, but I’m doing my best to support the cause).

Anyways, after further discussion, the entertainment center is on hold, but I did find this cool furniture site in the process. http://www.homefurnituremart.com

Printer Ink Shortage Solved

Slowly, my girlfriend is wrapping up grad school. So she’s swamped with papers, reports, presentations and all that awesomeness. I guess it was only natural to hear her scream in despair when the ink cartridge went dry. Of course, the low ink reminder had been in effect for months, but she chose to ignore.

Simma Down Now
While she was frantically running around in circles – fully buggin’ out – I hit the Web in search for printer ink.

Peace and Printer Ink
Low and behold I found a great deal at www.compimaging.com. They had our ink cartridge in stock, so I ordered it up and we had it by the next day.
